Limb Power Lucy!

Limb Power Lucy!

House Captain Lucy Cartledge from Year 9 competed this weekend at the Limb Power Games at Stoke Mandeville for children that have arms or legs or both missing. Lucy has written an account of her amazing time and you can read it here.

I went to the Limb Power Games at the Stoke Mandeville stadium on Saturday. It is for children that have arms or legs or both missing - it was really fun.  My favourite was riding the hand cycles; I wanted to keep the red bike, it was fast! I did 10 laps round the huge stadium. I  also enjoyed the wheelchair basketball, that was such fun, and I liked the tennis as I got the first point for my team and my friend Anna was happy and gave me a high five! I liked the climbing wall; the harness felt weird. Next year I am going to climb to the top. I liked archery but it was difficult as you have to be very strong and it hurt my little hand as you have to pull the strings back with your little hand. We also did athletics and lots more. We were trained by gold and silver Paralympic winners from 2008!
