Bracknell MP visits Carwarden House

Bracknell MP visits Carwarden House

We were delighted to welcome Dr Phillip Lee MP, the Conservative Member of Parliament for the neighbouring constituency of Bracknell, for a visit on Friday 7th February.

Dr Lee took the opportunity to meet with Vivian Novis, Luke Martin, Kathryn Martin, Gabriella Ainslie, Alice Codd, Daisy Bartlett, Thomas Hue and James Holdstock who all live in his constituency. He also met with Jarlath O'Brien, the Headteacher, who has been a resident in the constituency since he was five years old, Max Dalton, Head Boy, and Christopher Johnson, Deputy Head Boy.

Dr Lee discussed with the students about what a Member of Parliament actually does and explained that he has received 175,000 separate communications in the form of e-mails and letters since he became an MP three and a half years ago!

Dr Lee discussed his work in parliament as a member of the Energy and Cimate Change Select Committee, the Parliamentary Space Committee and the Conservative Middle East Council. We can see that he is a busy man!

We all then talked about Bracknell and what we like about it (or don't like in some cases - poor old 3M building!).

Max and Christopher then showed Dr Lee around the school and posed for some pictures! Jarlath O'Brien, MAx Dalton, Dr Philip Lee MP and Christopher Johnson

We'd all like to thank Dr Lee for taking such a keen an interest in the school.
