Key Stage 5 - Sixth-Form
Welcome to the Carwarden House Sixth-Form webpage where we shall be keeping you informed of all that is currently going on in the Sixth-Form.
As the site is developed we hope to hand over the lead on layout and information that is posted to the students, giving them further communication and ICT experience.
Carwarden House Sixth-Form currently has 40 students. We learning and additional needs (LAN) provision. The ethos of the provision reflects the importance that we place on promoting independent life skills and social and emotional development. We always welcome visitors and links with the local community. Our vision is that when students leave Carwarden House they will be ambitious, articulate, caring, confident, determined, independent, resilient, respectful, responsible and successful.
I was appointed as Head of the Sixth-Form in 2010 having spent 10 years previously working in a local further education college. I have a highly skilled team comprising of five teachers, thirteen support staff, a speech therapist and an administration officer who help to create a positive learning environment. We are always looking at improvements and make developments continuously to the curriculum throughout the year to meet the needs of our students.
