Shared Vision

When students leave Carwarden House they should be ambitious, articulate, caring, confident, determined, independent, respectful, responsible, resilient and successful.”

Our shared vision was developed after discussion and consultation with staff, governors, students and parents in the autumn term of 2011. It aims to focus on the key attributes that all contributors felt were necessary for our students to be successful members of society when they leave Carwarden House.

To make this vision a reality we promote our vision through our positive behaviour system. Students are able to receive bonus points when any member of staff observes a student (or students) being caring, for example. We discuss with students what it means to be ambitious, articulate, etc. and encourage them to identify times when they notice this in themselves or others.

At the end of the academic year we have an annual prize giving event. Awards are given for the students who receive the most bonus points for each element of our school vision.
