We were very happy to receive a visit from The Rt Hon Michael Gove MP, the government's Chief Whip and MP for Surrey Heath and former Secretary of State for Education. He had a tour of the school and got the chance to see our students in action. The tour included a visit to a Year 7 Food Technology lesson in which he asked the students about their work and the equipment they were using. The students also got the chance to ask him some questions, one of which was "What do you do?" Mr Gove explained that as Chief Whip in the government he is responsible for discipline and the behaviour of members of the government and of the Conservative Party. After his reply the students decided that his job was very much like Mr Lambert's here at Carwarden House!
