Life on the Ocean Wave

Life on the Ocean Wave

Our day started very early, we had to be at school for 6.30am. Once all ten 6th form students had arrived, we left for Portsmouth harbour. Maria was driving and Lucy was navigator. We arrived at 8.00am and boarded the STS Lord Nelson at 8.30am. We had to sign in to go on board and were very lucky to have bacon rolls and hot drinks with our friends from Wellington College. We all had buddies from Wellington and were put into four teams. In the morning we worked hard at sailing the ship and returned to Gunwharf Quays early in the afternoon. We had a great lunch and then prepared for some brave students to climb up the rigging and to work with the ship’s crew in the control room. We had an amazing day!
