Learning in the great outdoors

Our Year 11 geography students' trip to Rushall Farm and the River Pang proved to be a great way to learn about our riverways and the way we need to look after them.

Year 11 geography students went on a field study trip to the River Pang. They were shown how to measure different things about the river and to investigate the river flow.

They also took part in the fun investigation work of pond dipping, several different species were found. One student even caught a small fish!

The afternoon was spent at Rushall Farm, finding out abnout the daily routine of a farm. Then there was time to spend with the animals for feeding time and of course a quick stroke, especially with Fizzy the donkey!
