Parent Governors Appear in DSA Journal

Have you ever wondered what it's like to be a parent governor?

Kim Walker, mother to Anna in Year 9, and Juana Garcia, mother to Anya in Year 8, have written a great article for the journal of the Down's Syndrome Association to help you learn more about the role. Click on the title of this story to learn more.

Have you ever wondered what it's like to be a parent governor? Governors are the largest volunteer force in the country and provide a vital leadership function in the school. As well as holding the leadership team to account for the performance of the school they also set the strategic direction of the school.

Kim Walker, mother to Anna in Year 9, and Juana Garcia, mother to Anya in Year 8, have written a great article for the journal of the Down's Syndrome Association to help you learn more about the role.

We have a vacancy for a parent governor. I hope that the article persuades you to consider volunteering. If you're interested please feel free to discuss the commitment required with Jarlath O'Brien, Headteacher.

Thanks to Juana and Kim for taking the time to write such a great article and for being such exceptional governors!
